لماذا محمد ﷺ خاتم الانبياء والمرسلين؟
Why is Muhammad(PBUH) the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers?
كمال الشريعة وتمامها: نزل الإسلام كرسالة شاملة غطت جوانب الروح والعقل والتشريع (السياسة، الاقتصاد، الاجتماع)، فلم تعد البشرية بحاجة لمنهج جديد يكمل نقصاً، لقوله تعالى: {الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ}.
حفظ الرسالة من التحريف: الرسالات السابقة كانت تُحرف أو تُفقد بمرور الزمن، فكان يُبعث نبي جديد للتصحيح. أما القرآن الكريم، فقد تكفل الله بحفظه {إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ}، وبقاء الرسالة نقية يلغي الحاجة لنبي جديد.
عالمية الرسالة: الرسل السابقون كانوا يُبعثون لأقوامهم خاصة (مثل بني إسرائيل)، أما محمد ﷺ فبُعث للناس كافة (للإنس والجن)، فرسالته تجاوزت حدود الزمان والمكان والعرق.
نضج البشرية: وصل العقل البشري مع ظهور الإسلام إلى مرحلة من النضج تسمح له بحمل هذه الأمانة وتطبيقها واستنباط الأحكام منها عبر "الاجتهاد" دون الحاجة لتدخل وحي جديد.
The Perfection and Completion of Faith: Islam came as a comprehensive message covering spiritual, intellectual, and legislative aspects (politics, economy, and society). Humanity no longer needs a new system to fill any gaps, as Allah says: "This day I have perfected for you your religion."
Preservation from Distortion: Previous messages were often altered or lost over time, necessitating new prophets to correct them. However, Allah guaranteed the preservation of the Quran: "Indeed, it is We who sent down the message and indeed, We will be its guardian." The purity of the message eliminates the need for a new prophet.
The Universality of the Message: While earlier messengers were sent to their specific people (like the Children of Israel), Muhammad (PBUH) was sent to all of mankind (and Jinn). His message transcends the boundaries of time, place, and race.
Humanity's Intellectual Maturity: By the advent of Islam, the human mind reached a stage of maturity capable of carrying this final trust, applying it, and deriving rulings through "Ijtihad" (reasoning) without the need for new revelation.
خلاصة القول |
لقد شبه النبي ﷺ نفسه في الحديث الشريف برجل بنى بيتاً فأحسنه إلا موضع لبنة (طوبة)، فكان ﷺ هو تلك اللبنة التي تم بها البناء واكتمل.
The Bottom Line |
The Prophet (PBUH) likened himself to a man who built a beautiful house but left one brick missing; he was that final brick that completed the entire structure.

Hadiths on the Finality of Prophethood |
1. حديث مَثَلُ اللَّبنة:
(The Parable of the Brick):
قال ﷺ: «إِنَّ مَثَلِي وَمَثَلَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ مِنْ قَبْلِي، كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ بَنَى بَيْتًا فَأَحْسَنَهُ وَأَجْمَلَهُ، إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ لَبِنَةٍ مِنْ زَاوِيَةٍ، فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَطُوفُونَ بِهِ، وَيَعْجَبُونَ لَهُ، وَيَقُولُونَ: هَلَّا وُضِعَتْ هَذِه اللَّبِنَةُ؟ قَالَ: فَأَنَا اللَّبِنَةُ، وَأَنَا خَاتِمُ النَّبِيِّينَ». (رواه البخاري ومسلم)
The Prophet (PBUH) said: "The example of me and the Prophets before me is like a man who built a house and made it complete and beautiful, except for the place of one brick in a corner. People began to go around it and marvel at it, saying: 'Why has this brick not been placed?' He said: I am that brick, and I am the Seal of the Prophets." (Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)
2. حديث التسمية بـ "العاقب":
(The Name "Al-Aqib"):
قال ﷺ: «لِي خَمْسَةُ أَسْمَاءٍ: أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، وَأَنَا أَحْمَدُ، وَأَنَا الْمَاحِي الَّذِي يَمْحُو اللَّهُ بِي الْكُفْرَ، وَأَنَا الْحَاشِرُ الَّذِي يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ عَلَى قَدَمِي، وَأَنَا الْعَاقِبُ». (والعاقب هو الذي ليس بعده نبي).
The Prophet (PBUH) said: "I have five names: I am Muhammad, I am Ahmad, I am Al-Mahi through whom Allah wipes out disbelief, I am Al-Hashir at whose feet people will be gathered, and I am Al-Aqib." (Al-Aqib means the one after whom there is no Prophet).
3. حديث المنزلة لعلي بن أبي طالب:
(The Status of Harun):
قال ﷺ لعلي بن أبي طالب: «أَمَا تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي».
The Prophet (PBUH) said to Ali bin Abi Talib: "Are you not pleased to be to me as Aaron was to Moses, except that there is no Prophet after me?"

هذه الأحاديث واضحة وصريحة في قطع الطريق على أي شخص يدعي النبوة بعد النبي محمد ﷺ، وهي تؤكد أن الرسالة المحمدية هي محطة الوصول الأخيرة لهداية البشر.
Reflection |
These Hadiths are clear and direct, leaving no room for anyone to claim prophethood after Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). They confirm that his message is the final destination for divine guidance.
